Sense & Power initiative highlights ST's analog leadership

ST is launching a long-term, multifaceted initiative that highlights the Company's legacy and leadership in analog semiconductor devices and technologies. Counting the large number of firsts introduced by ST over the last three decades, from audio power amplifiers, BCD process technologies and many innovative power packages, we can proudly state that ST is a perennial analog leader, and analog is part of our DNA. Sense & Power captures in a couple of words the size and functionality of STs analog offer from sensing to powering the surrounding analog world. A new addition to the ST web site is now online supporting this theme, providing focused navigation to product, tool and solution pages on anything analog, from MEMS-based sensors, to power ICs and selected complementary discrete power devices. New STM32 Connectivity Line embeds Ethernet, USB OTG, dual CAN and audio class I²S

ST's ultra-popular STM32 family of 32-bit ARM microcontrollers has been expanded with the introduction of a new line of devices with advanced connectivity features. STM32 Connectivity line products include all the advanced peripherals of the STM32 family with the addition of USB OTG, Ethernet with IEEE 1588, dual CAN, and audio class I²S. The family includes devices with 64 to 256 Kbytes of on-chip Flash memory, up to 64 Kbytes of SRAM, and 14 communication interfaces. LQF64, LQFP100 and BGA100 packages are available. More

LIS302DLH – ultra-thin triaxial MEMS accelerometer

The new digital accelerometer from ST is housed in a 3 x 5 x 0.75 mm LGA package, perfect for ultra-slim product designs. The LIS302DLH is a high-performance, high-stability 16-bit device featuring power-saving shutdown mode, and sleep to wake function. The LIS302DLH is also pin-to-pin compatible with other 3-axis devices in ST’s Piccolo MEMS family. More

ESDA14V2-1BF3 - tiniest silicon ESD protection in flip-chip package

The ESDA14V2-1BF3 is the industry’s tiniest silicon TVS in a flip-chip package. Compliant with IEC 61000-4-2 level 4 (+15 kV air discharge), it offers designers of portable electronics equipment who require performance, reliability and compactness an excellent TVS solution without using metal oxide varistors. With an IRM of only 0.1 µA max at 3 V and a VBR of 14 V min at 1 mA, the ESDA14V2-1BF3 offers lower leakage current and lower clamping voltage than metal oxide varistors, hence improving system reliability and performance. The device is housed in a lead-free 4-bump flip-chip with 400 µm pitch. It can be used in general-purpose applications requiring ESD protection such as bottom connectors, side-keys and data lines. Online Webseminar introduces ST's new MDMesh V family of high voltage MOSFETs

This 20 minute online multimedia presentation introduces you to MDMesh V, the latest high-voltage power MOSFET family from ST. MDmesh V has the market’s best RDS(on), is available in most popular packages, and provides up to 650 V breakdown voltage. MDmesh V technology addresses switched mode power supplies, lighting and high-efficiency solar converters for photovoltaic panels. ST is a market leader in high-voltage power MOSFETs with one out of every five high-voltage MOSFETs sold in the market today made by STMicroelectronics. More

Online webseminar presents ST's latest high precision op-amps

This 7 minute online presentation introduces you to three new families of precision op-amps targeting low-power and portable products. The TSV61x, TSV62x and TSV63x families feature active current as low as 11 µA, while the operating-voltage range of 5.5 V down to 1.5 V simplifies low-power design and extends battery life in battery-powered products. TSV62x and TSV63x offer 420 kHz and 880 kHz gain-bandwidth product, respectively. Rail-to-rail input and outputs, low input offset voltage (down to 500 µV max) and input bias current (1 pA) maintain accuracy with small input signals. More
