4-line IPADTM EMI filter and ESD protection for headsets
The EMIF04-EAR02M8 is a highly integrated chip designed to suppress EMI/RFI noise for headset mobile phones. The new LC architecture on the speaker lines provides a high attenuation maintaining a very low serial resistance.
The 8-lead micro-QFN package allows the whole function to be integrated in a very small PCB space.
Additionally, this filter includes ESD protection circuitry, which prevents damage to the protected device when subjected to ESD surges up 30 kV.
The EMIF04-EAR02M8 perfectly fits headset connector pin-outs, with ESD protection withstanding 30 kV contact discharge as per IEC 61000-4-2 and filtering performances while maintaining an attenuation below -30 dB on all GSM, DCS and PCS frequencies.
